Is there any way for the guards to be notified if a visitor stays inside the society premise beyond a specific period of time?
Yes, Mygate has a feature that helps the society track if a visitor stays inside the premises longer than the allowed time. The admin can set a time limit, and if any visitor stays beyond that, the system will flag it, and the security guard gets alerted on their device. This helps improve security. Please follow the steps below to set up and check visitor overstays in Mygate.
1. Click on "View more" under the Resident and Visitor Management Settings section of settings.
2. Click on "Enable Overstay Alert" under the security section
By using this feature Society can set overstay alerts for delivery boys and cabs in the society. A ring on the Guard device will notify that the delivery person/cab is still inside the society.
2. Enter time period in Overstay Alert Threshold (seconds).
Overstay alert threshold is a default of 1800 seconds- i.e. on the 1800 seconds from the entry of the delivery boy/cab, the guard will be notified.
3. Enter Overstay Alert Threshold Max (hours).
Overstay alert threshold max is 3 hours- i.e. the alert for the overstay delivery/cab will ring every 1800 seconds for a max duration of 3 hours.
