Why are dues appearing under flats when there are no pending invoices to settle?

If a flat has a pending invoice as of March 31st, 2024, and the invoice is settled in the following financial year (after April 1st, 2024), the closing balance for the flat in the 2023-2024 financial year will still show the outstanding invoice amount. This is because the liability for the invoice belongs to the previous financial year, even though the payment is made after the start of the new financial year. As a result, the dues will still appear under the "Total Dues" section for the previous financial year, even after the payment has been settled.

1. Currently, the total outstanding dues for the flat amount to Rs. 590.40 for the 2023-2024 financial year. However, there are no pending invoices for the flat, as all outstanding invoices have been fully cleared within the current financial year, 2024-2025.
